Formula NEBBIA SHOCK VOLUME REDUCTION SPACER KIT

How do I add volume spacers?
Depending on the frame design it may be possible to fit volume spacers with the shock fitted. Otherwise, remove the shock from the frame as per the frame manufacturer’s instructions.

•    Make sure the shock is clean
•    Note your air pressure
•    Fully depressurise the shock
•    Unscrew the air sleeve by hand and slide it down the shock. Grippy gloves can help
•    Clip the desired number of volume spacers (max three) behind the air piston
•    Apply a small amount of suspension grease to the wiper seal and the inside of the air sleeve
•    Slide the air sleeve back over the air shaft and tighten by hand
•    Inflate shock to your previously noted pressure
•    If required, fit shock to frame following manufacturer’s instructions
•    Re-check your sag. Add pressure to decrease sag. Decrease pressure to increase sag
•    Go ride!

What is a volume spacer?
In the case of the Nebbia, volume spacers are plastic rings that can be clipped under the air piston. These spacers decrease the volume of the air chamber and increase progressivity making your suspension feel firmer sooner in its travel.

Why would I use a volume spacer?
If you have set your sag correctly but are bottoming out the shock regularly, adding a volume spacer will help the shock resist bottoming out. Adding volume spacers also allows you to run a lower pressure for increased small-bump sensitivity without losing mid-stoke support or bottom out resistance.

How many volume spacers can I fit?
Three volume spacers can be fitted inside the Nebbia. The more volume spacers used the more the shock will resist bottoming out.
